Heather Jefferson

I am a wife, mother, sister, friend, and above all, a daughter of the Savior King.
My husband and I have built a life together rooted in love, faith, and a whole lot of learning along the way. Our two children are now grown, with families of their own, and I’m stepping into a new season—becoming “Nana” to a new generation, which means more to me than I can even find words for.
Home, for me, is full. It’s about family, laughter, my beloved dog and cat, and the adorable fur babies who bring energy to every visit. It’s peaceful mornings, meaningful conversations, and the pure happiness of being with loved ones.
I’m a lover of beauty in all its forms.
I love literature and storytelling, art and creativity, a well-made cappuccino, a really good glass of wine (yes… I can be a bit of a wine snob), and anything chocolate if it’s done right. I enjoy clean, nourishing food, working with sourdough, and creating things with my hands just as much as with words.
You’ll often find me outside—especially in early Arizona mornings—just sitting, breathing, and soaking it all in.
I was born here in Arizona, but raised in the Ozarks, surrounded by lakes, trees, and green landscapes. When my husband brought me back here 27 years ago, I’ll be honest… I didn’t love the desert at first. But over time, the Lord changed my perspective. He taught me how to find beauty here… how to find blessings here. And somewhere along the way, this desert became home in a deeper way than I expected.
I love to travel, especially road trips with my husband, where the conversations are long and the scenery just keeps unfolding.
But more than anything… I love my time with God.
My conversations with Him—those quiet, honest, everyday moments with Jesus, His Holy Spirit—are the foundation of who I am now. Life has had its share of hard places, and there was a time when it felt like my light was being dimmed… maybe even going out. But God, in His goodness, met me there and brought healing, restoration, and truth back into my life.
That’s where my stories come from.
Not from perfection, but from being walked through the fire and brought into something new.
I believe words hold power. They can plant seeds of truth, bring encouragement, and inspire lasting change. Over time, that belief grew into something more than personal—it became part of my life’s work.
I’ve spent years writing, learning, and growing—working with businesses, publications, and creative projects—but what matters most to me now is creating from a place of meaning.
Today, I write stories that reflect both love and faith—from children’s adventures set in the desert to deeper, reflective works that come from my own walk with God. I also have the privilege of walking alongside others as they learn to bring their own stories to life.
Not by doing it for them, but by guiding, encouraging, empowering, and helping them find their way.
Because I remember what it felt like to be at the beginning.
And I don’t believe anyone is meant to walk that road alone.
So whether I’m writing, creating, or simply sharing what I’ve learned along the way… it all comes from the same place:
A life lived, a heart restored, and a desire to create something meaningful with it.
Welcome… I’m really glad you’re here.
Many Blessings to you.
Love in Christ,
H.L. Jefferson
